Korean Volunteers Teach Kenyan Children Hygiene, Nutrition and Other Useful Skills

January 30, 2012

From January 7 to 19, SFP in Kenya held its second GPM with the participation of 25 Korean students from Chungju National University in Korea and 15 local volunteers.

The project took place at our Communities of Peace ‐ Children’s Garden, a home and school for abandoned or orphaned children, and Pumwani Rehab Children’s Center, a school and center for children with disabilities. Volunteers were involved in the construction of a poultry farm, and the painting and transformation of a classroom into a library. They also were involved in tutoring the children in science, sports, first aid, nutrition and hygiene.
